MIX AND MATCH HOLIDAY FASHION IDEAS 2017 (Part II)

HI, MOOI 🌈❣️

Sorry, I just got back today. I had an issue that I had to tackle myself, therefore I couldn't post anything in the last 3 days and I'm so sad because of that 😣. But, I promise this kind of thing will not happen again, so make sure you have subscribed to our website and receive daily updates from our website 😁

Continuing from the previous post, in this post, I'm going to show how I mix and match my favorite plaid and velvet holiday fashion items that I pick from the first fashion post, titled "EYE-ING TREND: HOLIDAY SEASON 🎄"!

MIX AND MATCH HOLIDAY FASHION IDEAS 2017:

3. CLASSIC PLAID FAMILY

Plaid mix and match idea for Holiday Season

For this plaid series, I want to show how putting different kind of plaids together in one attire can actually make sense and look good!

You see, in this picture, there are two items with plaid fabric, the wool plaid coat and the beige dress. The trick to combine two different kind of plaids, one of them must stand out way more than the other and have a same color tone. In this case, the brown plaid coat has a bigger square and a more defined colors, while the dress is in beige, which is a soft color and the plaid fabric has a small and smaller square than the coat. Therefore, these two different plaid will make a great combo! Now, the idea behind choosing the brown leather ankle boots is to create a more slender and taller look and also the brown color matches perfectly with the coat. To balance the entire look I choose a fringed cross body bag which color is also in beige and matches the dress color. The bowed small beret hat and the choker is simply there to show a cute and sweet look!

4. FOR THE LOVE OF VELVET

Velvet mix and match Holiday Fashion Ideas

I am going to combine two of my favorite items of velvet in my first fashion post titled ‘Holiday..’. They are the hot pink velvet skirt and the teal green Gucci bag. These two different colors is mixed more easily as the beetle’s wings (decoration on the bag) color is the same to the skirt. When mix and matching, every color detail is important when choosing what color to combine with each item. This Shilo crepe and lace blouse has an exquisite look making it a great company to the velvet skirt and do not forget the bow! The bow is big, beautiful, and eye-catching, even if we top the blouse with the cropped jacket, the bow will still appear nicely. This bow is also one of the reason of me choosing a cropped jacket. Had I chosen a coat, then the blouse I pick would be a simple one and I’m not sure I would have a stylish look with just a coat, simple top, and a velvet skirt. The coat would cover part of the skirt, which is one of the key item in the whole look, making the velvet less visible too, and it is definitely not what I would love to see :( As for the shoes, I’m pairing it with the bag, so I pick the same velvet teal green as the bag.
