MAKE UP REVIEW: The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation

Hi, Mooi 🌈❣️ Sorry for MIA on the Make-Up Reviews, I have a lot of things to do, but I’m back now. Today we’re gonna talk about The Body Shop: Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation with Mattifying Clay and Purifying Tea Tree. For you who doesn’t know it, The Body Shop has gone to Cruelty Free and Vegan, YAY!, this year that is why I tried the foundation. I really am trying to be a cruelty free make-up artist, even though I still have some products that aren’t cruelty free.

I never thought that The Body Shop cosmetics line is good enough, which I don’t know why, but when I see this foundation it just got me, so I decide to buy it and try it without any expectation. In the past I’ve once try their compact powder, if I remembered it correctly, and I didn’t like it at all. I really like The Body Shop skincare line so much, like their body butter, their body mist, or their mask. When I buy this foundation I just curious because it claims to contains clay and tea tree. We’re all know that Clay can absorb excess oil that’s why this foundation is more on the matte side, also tea tree can be a good moisturizer for skin.

The first time I try it, I’m so amaze by it, it goes very smoothly on my skin. I will say that it has light to medium coverage, but you can build it up without having to worry about you look like you wear a mask or cakey-ness. I think because of the combination between clay and tea tree, the foundation is matte but I do feel like it’s hydrated and doesn’t look so dry on my face. It is quickly become one of my favorite everyday foundation. The color range it’s not much I will say, but I found one that match my skin it’s Sagano Bamboo 23. I really like how The Body Shop named their foundation, like Havana Sand 21, Savannah Pecan 42, Peruvian Lili 10, etc, I think it’s important to have name for the color range instead of just using number. Good job The Body Shop, you nailed it! I hope they make a concealer for this line, I will definitely buy it :)

I think after I write this, I’ll go to The Body Shop and try their other cosmetic products. So, that’s all I can share for this amazing foundation, I hope I can help you in any way.
